Programs to be accredited

ESIB is engaged in the process of accreditation of the following engineering programs by the American accreditation commission ABET:

·         Civil Engineering (CE)

·         Computer and Communications Engineering (CCE)

·         Electrical Engineering (EE)

About ABET

ABET is a nonprofit, non-governmental organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation in the United-States. ABET accredits college and university programs in the disciplines of applied science, computing, engineering and engineering technology at the associate, bachelor and Master levels.

ABET is a federation of 35 professional engineering and technical societies that include the American Society of Civil Engineering (ASCE) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).

ABET accreditation criteria’s were developed by technical professionals from ABET’s member societies. They focus on what students experience and learn, and cover the following:

6.      Faculty

7.      Facilities

8.      Institutional Support

External Advisory Board (EAB)

In order to get the feedback of ESIB stakeholders like Alumni, professionals and potential employers, ESIB decided to set up an External Advisory Board for each program of study, comprised of distinguished professionals and experts from different engineering fields.
